Transfer big files with TransferBigFiles.com

As a web designer, I often need to transfer files that are too large to send or receive by email. A free online service that I found is called, appropriately enough, Transfer Big Files. You can use it without even registering or installing anything on your computer. Just go to their website, www.transferbigfiles.com, select the files you want to transfer, enter the email address(es) of the intended recipient(s) and click the transfer link. The recipient will get an email with a link that takes them to a page where they can download the file(s) sent to them.

Registering for a free account allows you do the following from the TransferBigFiles website:

• Send large files through the web (Unregistered users can do this also.)
• Easily share whole galleries of photos
• See your previous transfer history
• Add new recipients to a past transfer
• Download any files that you have uploaded
• Upgrade your account features and storage limit
• Set up an Upload Widget to receive large files from anyone

Paid accounts (starting at $5/month or $48/year) give you additional benefits. You can get by easily with the free plan (registered or unregistered) if you don’t transfer big files very often.
